Heritage in Young Hands- Phase 1
The Heritage in Young Hands project, initiated by Faiz Foundation Trust in collaboration with UNESCO, was a groundbreaking effort aimed at fostering cultural awareness among school students across Pakistan. This initiative sought to instill a sense of appreciation for the country’s rich historical and cultural heritage by engaging young minds through Cultural Fairs, Teacher Trainings, and Historical Site Visits. The project spanned multiple historically significant cities, including Taxila, Sheikhupura, UCH Sharif, Rawalpindi, each holding deep cultural and historical significance. Through carefully curated animations, curriculum books, and eBooks, the project ensured that learning about heritage was interactive and accessible. The Cultural Fairs provided students with an immersive experience, showcasing traditional crafts, music, and storytelling sessions, while the Teacher Training Programs equipped educators with the necessary tools to effectively integrate cultural education into their teaching methods. Additionally, field visits to historical sites allowed students to experience the grandeur of their heritage firsthand, reinforcing their connection to the past. By combining modern educational tools with experiential learning, Heritage in Young Hands successfully cultivated a new generation of students who not only valued their cultural identity but were also inspired to preserve and celebrate it for future generations.
